Two42 Community Groups

Church Two42 got it’s name from Acts 2:42-47 which says:

“They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Everyone was filled with awe at the many wonders and signs performed by the apostles. All the believers were together and had everything in common. They sold property and possessions to give to anyone who had need. Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.”

Our hope is that through these community groups, we would be this kind of church that would encourage, love and equip one another with sincere hearts. However, we do understand that community might feel hard to jump into at first. But be encouraged to take the leap of faith and see how these groups could grow you, your family and your walk with God through the people of Two42. After all, Jesus was building a community of followers to be just that for one another and we pray you will jump into fellowship with us in this way!

These Community groups will meet 2x a month (on the 1st & 3rd weeks) beginning in February and will run for 8 sessions.

Meet our Community Group Trainers

Carlos & Yanira Aguero

Carlos and Yanira have been married for over 22 years and are the proud parents of two children, Aleyna (20) and Josiah (18). Their family serves together at Church Two42, with Carlos, Aleyna, and Josiah involved on the worship team, and Yanira often welcoming people with a smile while serving behind the coffee bar.

They have called Church Two42 home since the summer of 2023 and are deeply grateful for the church community and leadership. Carlos and Yanira share a heart for serving, discipling, and encouraging the body of Christ, with a strong desire to see people grow in their love for Jesus and their understanding of His Word.

They believe that spiritual growth happens best in the context of intentional community and relationships, and that being actively involved in the life of the church is vital to a healthy, thriving walk with Christ. Their hope is to help create spaces where people feel known, supported, and encouraged to live out their faith together.

“And this is His commandment: that we should believe on the name of His Son Jesus Christ and love one another, as He gave us commandment.” 1 John 3:23
