Two42 School of Worship

Welcome!

Two42 School of Worship is designed to inspire & develop skilled musical leaders to use their God given talents to create an atmosphere of freedom to praise and worship.

Our program is created with generations in mind. From children to adults, our music team has decades of experience to meet students exactly where they’re at.

What makes our program so unique is that all of our teachers lead our church into worship on Sundays at Church Two42. So not only do our teachers have the heart of worship, experience & talent, they also know how to develop confident students into leaders.

If you or your child has wanted to learn an instrument we encourage you to reach out & see what God will do.

“Sing to him a new song; play skillfully, and shout for joy.”

Psalm 33:3

Jeff Larson

Electric Guitar Teacher

I’m a local guitar player in Rancho Cucamonga. I’m married with 3 kids, and have been the lead electric guitar on worship teams over the last 10 years and  a member of the Two42 band since 2019. I’ve been playing music all my life, starting with piano at a young age then moving on to trumpet throughout school and into college. I picked up guitar for fun when I was 16, and found a passion and joy that I never had with any other instrument. Music above all is just an artform we can use to take joy in expressing ourselves. To me, having fun is a crucial element of learning how to play music, and stoking the passion needed to master it. My approach is to identify my student's goals and create a customized lesson plan that teaches the techniques needed to achieve them. I teach students of all ages, and specialize in teaching electric guitar.

Derek Delgado

Drum Teacher

My love for music started when I was in middle school. My uncle gave me a guitar with a chord book and I joined the drum line. Since then, I’ve learned how to play the drums the guitar, piano, bass, and a little alto sax.

Nothing else I’ve ever done in life has given me more joy and purpose than playing and creating music. And now I get to walk in that purpose as one of the drummers on the Church Two42 worship team and with my band “No No” around LA.

Looking forward to showing you the love of music with the drums.

-2 Peter 1:3

Mikah Carson

Piano & Vocal Teacher

I started piano at six years old, and fell in love with music! Throughout my life I’ve participated in many musicals and advanced choirs, traveling to perform at colleges and schools around California as an All-State Musician. I have also been playing piano and singing on the worship team at Church Two42 for four years, and am constantly amazed at how God has continued to move through music and worship! I am eager to teach excellence in music theory and technique across multiple genres, all based on a solid foundation in Christ. My hope is to foster a love of music that will raise a generation of talented musicians and strong, Christ-centered worship leader

Rodney Cox

Bass Teacher

I primarily play the bass guitar and a little bit of piano and have been playing bass for 14 years. I got started with music on the piano, taking lessons from ages 8 to 12. Then at the age of 16 I rediscovered the idea of playing music through my friends at the skatepark. They exposed me to a lot of cool genres and music gear that I would have never thought to look into on my own.

Now I currently play bass with a few different bands/artists: NO NO, Reverend Baron, and the Church Two42 Worship team.  I enjoy playing on the worship team because I believe that is where music serves its greatest purpose. I am truly passionate about broadening the understanding of what worship music can feel and sound like.

My favorite verse is Proverbs 17: 27 “He who has knowledge spares his words, And a man of understanding is of a calm spirit.”
